What is this Moon Waves Design all about?  Glad you stopped by to find out.  We're a fun-loving little family who likes to play, dance, sing (loudly and sometimes obnoxiously), and make all the things.

My name is Sara and I'm the owner here at MWD.  All good stories start with "well, what happened was..."  Mine follows with: I got a laser.  Maybe it's the pyro in me coming out from long ago.  My best friend and I may have stuffed a teddy bear with a firecracker when we were kids, but I digress.

I did get this laser.  I got a Glowforge.  It's so. Much. Fun.  I am constantly amazed at all the cool things that you can do and CREATE.  Like my son, who builds his LEGO creations, I burn wood and acrylic, I engrave on leather, and MAKE ALL THE THINGS.

I do get excited about it all and really enjoy the entire process.  From the design, though I will admit there are some pretty amazing designers out there that I buy commercial licenses to create products from, I also do some designing myself.

My inspiration is my kids.  They bring me the joy and perspective to be creative and that's what I need most in life.  That's why you see the crafting before adulting sprinkled throughout the site.
